When Victoria from Victoria Loves Book started raving about this book, I naughtily ignored her knowing I had hardly any space left on my TBR pile but when she recommended it to me again and wouldn’t take no for an answer I decided to get in touch with Karli. She very kindly sent me a review copy of this book and OH MY GOD. Why haven’t I read this sooner?!!?!
It has to be said that I do gush about a lot of books and I often say that books are addictive but this one was probably the most addictive book I’ve read in, well, forever. I couldn’t put it down; I read it as I ate my dinner, whilst I was in the bath, whilst I dried my hair (not easy) and then devoured the last part before sitting in shock and deciding whether to jump out of the window. I mean, this ending was A JOKE. How can an author end a book like this and then expect me to carry on with the rest of my life?! I NEED to read the sequel to this book NOW!!!
April is starting university and is pretty worried about being away from home and from the friends she’s left behind. On her first day, rushing to get to a lecture, she bumps into (quite literally) a STUNNING man who flirts with her and suggests they meet up for another ‘date’. Thinking he’s just being silly, she hurries to her lecture and makes a new friend called Lukas. They soon become best friends and begin to take their relationship to another level. However, Mr Stunning (Issac) who April met on her first day keeps appearing in her life in some rather shocking ways and soon she is thrown into a triangle of love, not knowing which way to turn. Should she follow her heart or her head?
Ok. Let’s just get one thing straight. Issac is THE hottest fictional male I have EVER read about. Forget Billy Buskin from Billy And Me and forget Gerry from PS I Love You. You need Issac in your life right now! From the first description of him I was head over heels in love with him and I don’t think that the love I have for him will ever end. He was totally my favourite character.
April was a fabulous protagonist. She was smart and sassy but also had tough choices to make which brought out her emotional side. I loved reading about her and I was egging her on the whole way and trying to help her make a choice about which path to follow!
The other characters were also wonderful. Lukas was gorgeous and incredibly lovely. Katie, April’s best friend, was funny and I liked her carefree attitude about things and how she was a brilliant support for April.
And, as I said before, this ending was just jaw-dropping. I don’t think I have ever been so desperate to read a sequel before. So Karli, hurry up and finish it please!
I was even more shocked to see that this book is 77p on Amazon. 77p that’s cheaper than a bar of Cadbury chocolate (other brands are available) and this book is totally better than a bar of Cadbury and I can guarantee more pleasurable!
So, PLEASE go and buy a copy of this book. I promise you will not be let down AND if you are then I will actually send you a bar of Cadbury chocolate to make up for it. THAT is how sure I am that you will love it. (Don’t all pretend you hate it for a bar of chocolate now please, I’m ridiculously skint).
ANYWAY
I think I have gushed enough about this book.
READ IT.
THAT IS ALL.
