Hens Reunited - Lucy Diamond

Hens Reunited is Lucy’s third book and spans many years. It begins in the past and on the hen nights of three different women, Kate, Georgia and Alice. The plot then fast forwards to the present where we learn that not everything has really turned out how they all planned…
Katie has found out that marriage isn’t all it has cracked up to be and doesn’t want to commit herself to it again. Alice is a single mother who learns that her child is the most important person in her life and Georgia realises that her career isn’t actually the be all and end all and maybe she should spend a bit more time with the people that matter.
Like all Lucy Diamond books, I hate to go into too much detail because I am worried that I will ruin the plot!
The three women in this book are such different characters but are all strong and impressive and managed to leave a mark on me. I loved Alice and her journey the most and probably found Georgia the hardest to relate to but I still enjoyed reading about her life. Lucy is a master at creating likable female characters who are strong willed and independent but also isn’t afraid to include good looking men and the occasional kiss! Each chapter focused on a different woman which kept me wanting to read on to find out what would eventually happen to each of them, it kept a nice pace going.
Often with books including a lot of characters and events I find myself having to pause and compile everything I know about them to remember what has happened, but I never find I have to do that with Lucy’s books, for some reason they just always seem to be easy to follow yet not lacking in any detail!
If you enjoyed Lucy’s previous books then you will enjoy this one a lot, if not, even more!!
