Over you is Lucy’s second novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Over you follows the stories of three women who all used to be close during their twenties. They were flatmates are were living the dream! But now, life has caught up with them and they each live very different lives. Josie is a married mum, Nell is a traveler and has traveled all around the world and Lisa is a hot shot business woman who wants to get a promotion. All three women decide to reunite for one weekend and rekindle the close friendship they once had. However, the weekend doesn’t exactly go to plan and soon Josie discovers something she wishes she hadn’t….
These three women were all so different and I loved how Lucy managed to make me feel conflicting emotions for them all. Throughout the book, my allegiances to characters kept changing and I wasn’t sure who I rooted for the most, although it ended up being Josie. As with all of Lucy’s books the characters are extremely believable and the events are realistic which makes for a very emotional reader! Multiple times I found myself caught up in the strong emotions of this book and forgot that it was actually fiction! I love authors that can pull you so quickly into their characters worlds
