I think I may have just read my favourite book of the year so far. I can’t stop gushing about how much I loved this book! It was published over a year ago but have only just managed to get a copy. THE COVER IS STUNNING.
It started slowly for me and I found myself having a bit of a reading slump towards the beginning of this book. Halfway through, my pace picked up and by the last quarter I couldn’t put it down. I know I often say that books are packed with emotions, but this one went even further. I genuinely felt like I was part of this story, I literally cried whilst reading this book and smiled in great quantities too. A book hasn’t had the ‘crying’ effect on me in a while; I was just completely immersed in these characters lives.
As you may be able to guess by the title, this is a love story about Sienna (Si) and Nick who meet on a train one morning and fall instantly for each other. Little do they know they actually work together and soon they start a beautiful friendship but neither of them has the guts to tell the other that they love them. Si has problems at home and Nick is a carefree guy who likes his women so will they ever find the right moment to tell each other how they feel? Along their journey we meet a homeless man, a greasy boss and a beautiful father.
I cannot begin to describe the plot in anymore detail as it will ruin this book!
I LOVED Si and Nick. Both of them were characters that I instantly fell for (ok, maybe I fell for Sienna quicker than Nick, but I adored them both). When I wasn’t reading this book I found myself thinking about what was going to happen and mentally constructing my own ending for their story.
I am so sad that I have finished it!
This book was, to me, pure perfection.
I want a Nick in my life!
Thank you Jessica for writing this beautiful, beautiful story.
